RETIRED.............

After 23 years....he's calling it quits!! Nate has loved racing horses to say the least, but when the time came this spring he decided he doesn't want to hurt that bad anymore...so he walked away. I can't say that I blame him. He would ride one day and recover the next 10 just to do it all over again!! I'm so thankful for all of the injury free years that we had...and for all of the friends we gained!! I look forward to enjoying the races with Nate at my side!

Baseball, Baseball and Softball???

Kaeland is playing his last year of Little League in the Cedar American League...He is so excited to try out for the Cedar High Baseball team he can hardly stand it!! I'm so proud of him and all of his accomplishments!

Koy is playing his first year of Machine Pitch.....he loves it!!! He's quite a natural at everything he does!!

What?? Yes the "Princess" decided to try softball this year.....at first I thought it was going to be a very painful experience for me to watch, but it turns out she is really good at it!! It sure is fun to watch each of them developing their talents and having fun doing it!!

It's a Hard Knock Life"

Marquessa has been learning Hip Hop at On Stage Dance Studio this year. They just had their annual Spring recital where she performed to the "Annie" theme. She was the perfect orphan!! She did a great job......she definitely has the moves, and the looks as you can see!!

Not So Good At This!!!

Wow.....where to start....I have missed posting so much. Kaeland turned 14 on December 28, 2009 and cant hardly wait until his next birthday. He is constantly reminding me that he will be driving!!!! UGH....he just completed middle school and will be a Freshman at Cedar High School. (Were did the time go? It seems like just yesterday that I was graduating.) Marquessa turned 9 on January 5, 2010 and just completed 3rd grade. (For now she remains sweet and innocent.......OK, maybe not so sweet! Sometimes I feel like I'm raising my sister!! YIKES..) Koy turned 7 on February 2, 2010 and just completed 1st grade. (Way ahead of where they say he should be on end of levels....yes, he's my smartypants!! If I can just keep him intrested!) The kids are way excited for summer and looking forward to sleepovers at Grandma Janet's and a trip to Disneyland they have been saving for all year!!

Twas the night before our Savior came and all through the house, not a person was praying, not one in the house. Their scriptures were laid on the shelf without care, thinking that our Savior would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed, not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And mom in her rocker, with baby on her lap, was watching the late show, while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but angels proclaiming that our Savior was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray, I knew in a moment it must be the day.

The light of His face made me cover my head, it was our Savior, returning just like he had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw him in spite of myself.

In the book of life, which he held in his hand, was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as he searched for my name, then he said "It's not here," and my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love, he gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready, he rose without a sound, while all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees but it was too late, I had waited too long and thus, sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight, "Oh, if only I'd been ready tonight."

In the words of this poem, the meaning is clear, the coming of our Savior is drawing near. There is only one life and when comes the last call, we will find that the scriptures were true after all!!!!!

During this holiday season I hope we all remember that the magic of Christmas is not in the presents, but in His Presence!!
We Love You All, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Kaeland's Football 2009

Kaeland had an amazing year in football!! He played on the Cedar Redmen 8th grade team. They won the championship game on November 7th......too bad I was at the Breeder's Cup and missed it! He played really good ball this year and ended up with a couple of touchdowns!! Way to go Buddy!!
